Your training stays on your phone.
Mazao is a strength training log for Android. It plans a push/pull/legs week, records sets quickly while you are still under the bar, and shows whether the work is adding up. Every feature works with no connection and there is no account to create.
It was built by one lifter for his own training, and published in case it suits yours. It does not try to be the tracker for everyone.
What it does
- Suggests the next session and a load for each exercise, based on the sets you recorded.
- Records weight, reps, perceived effort and failed sets in a few taps, and survives you closing the app mid-workout.
- Shows weekly adherence, strength trend per exercise, and the next milestone.
- Exports a complete backup file you can keep or move to another phone.
When there is nothing recorded yet, it says so rather than inventing a starting weight. A guess presented as a prescription is worse than an honest blank.
What leaves your phone
Your workouts, measurements and notes are held in an encrypted database on the device and are never uploaded. Three things do go out, and the privacy policy lists all of them:
- Exercise illustrations are fetched from wger.de when you look at them.
- The published build reports crashes so they can be fixed.
- Two usage counters, and only if you switch them on in Settings. They are off by default.
